This is an introductory shibari class for couples who want to approach this Japanese practice from a warm, ethical, and professional perspective. You’ll explore erotic creativity without the pressure of mastering complex techniques right away.
Delivered as a private class—one couple per session—so you get focused attention and personalized guidance through demonstrations, explanations, and hands-on corrections tailored to your pace.
The session covers the history, aesthetics, and erotic context of shibari, with safety, communication, and personal responsibility in intimate interactions as core pillars.
Note: eroticism isn’t pornography. This is an educational setting, and no one will ever be asked to do anything they’re not comfortable with.
You’ll learn basic rope handling and foundational techniques, plus simple ties for safe restraint, all with that distinctive Japanese aesthetic that highlights the beauty of the human body in an erotic context.
The goal is to experience shibari firsthand and satisfy your curiosity, so you can make an informed decision about whether it fits your personal and relationship dynamics.
In all our courses, we use our own teaching method, #MSAFE (Make Shibari Accessible For Everyone). With MSafe, both partners—the one tying and the one being tied—share equal power and stay actively engaged.
In other words, there’s no “passive” person who just “lets things happen”: erotic shibari is a two-person practice. From this stance, technique adapts to each couple, their circumstances, and their preferences.
Duration: half-day (4 hours). Price: €90 per couple.
Enrollment includes an ipponnawa (一本縄) starter kit: two ready-to-use ropes, 5 mm in diameter—one 2 m long and one 8 m long—so you can practice what you’ve learned at home.
