# Rules

**Mandatory acceptance required before enrollment**

Gijón Shibari Dojo may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect is always the one published on our website at the time of enrollment.

## About the Dojo

**Gijón Shibari Dojo (Shibari School) is a technical training school for erotic shibari, open to adult couples.**

The dojo runs on a clear hierarchy: management decisions are final on everything related to training, admissions, and how activities are run.

We follow the basic standards of courtesy and conduct you'd expect from any serious learning environment.

From time to time, a specific activity may come with its own rules. When that happens, the details will be spelled out in the activity description.

## Admissions and Enrollment

### Age Requirement

**Participation is open only to adults.**

The school may ask for proof of age during the admissions process.

### Couple-Based Enrollment

**Enrollment works on a couple basis: both partners take part actively in the training.**

We don't run an observer track.

We don't pair up people who show up separately — both partners need to already know each other and have decided to take part together before signing up.

**Couple enrollment applies to the full training cycle**. Both partners attend together throughout, and switching partners between sessions within the same period isn't allowed.

Solo sign-ups are the exception, not the rule, and they're handled at the school's discretion. Some one-off activities may allow individuals; if so, it'll say so in the activity details.

### Admissions Process

**The school reserves the right of admission across all programs.**

During sign-up we may ask for extra information to verify your profile or to figure out the best learning path for you.

Your spot isn't confirmed until the school gives the green light.

### Learning Path

At the school's discretion, a specific training path may be set up before you can access certain activities. The idea is to make sure everyone's building skills at the right pace. We'll share your path after enrollment and before you're formally admitted.

## Online Option

In-person activities are open to couples from anywhere.

If geography or mobility is an issue, you can start or finish part of the program online — but the school needs to sign off on it first.

Joining in-person training means showing up in person; it isn't replaced by the online format except in programs built that way or in specific cases the school approves. In those situations, we adjust the length and setup of the online session to keep the learning experience equivalent.

## House Rules

### Punctuality

Running late? Let us know as soon as you can. **Showing up 30 minutes late without a heads-up means you're out** — no refund, no reschedule.

### Access and Space

Shoes off at the door — it's mandatory. There are no chairs; everything happens on the floor. Thick socks are a good idea, especially in winter.

### What to Wear

Wear something comfortable that lets you move freely (yoga clothes or sportswear work well), suited to the weather.

Jeans, belts, bracelets, and necklaces get in the way, so we'd skip those.

 Nudity isn't allowed during sessions.

### Food and Drink

No gluten-containing food inside the dojo.
 No alcohol, in any form.
No smoking inside the dojo — there's a covered, ventilated space available for breaks.

### Pets

Even though the dojo is out in the countryside, **it's not a place for pets**. Domestic animals can disturb the local wildlife and compromise the conditions of the space, so we give the wildlife priority.

### Photography

As a rule, no photos during activities unless the school gives you the green light.

### Health and Safety

Personal hygiene isn't optional. We'll take whatever steps are needed to keep everyone healthy and comfortable. Whenever we can, we run activities outdoors.

## Use of Content

The school's materials, methods, terminology, and content — including anything developed during sessions — are for students' personal use only.

 You may not:

- Use the content to teach, train others, or pass on the method in any format.
- Redistribute, publish, or share school materials through any channel.
- Use the content for direct or indirect commercial purposes.

This rule doesn't have an expiration date — it doesn't end when your training with us does.

## Conflict of Interest

Active involvement — as an organizer, promoter, or public figure — in spaces, events, or organizations the school sees as incompatible with attendee safety or with the school's values and interests is grounds for immediate removal from the program, no matter where you are in your training.

This applies for the entire duration of your training with us and doesn't require prior notice.

## Cancellations, Withdrawals, and Refunds

No refunds on amounts already paid in any of these cases: you cancel on your own, you no-show without letting us know, or you're removed for breaking these terms.

If a couple can't make a booked date and gives us at least 24 hours' notice, the school will try to find an alternative date. Outside that window, it's at the school's discretion — no guarantee of a reschedule.

Repeated cancellations of booked dates may lead to your booking being cancelled without a refund, at the school's discretion.

## Acceptance

Signing up for any activity at Gijón Shibari Dojo (Shibari School) means you've read and accepted these terms in full, confirmed through an explicit checkbox on the enrollment form.
